Pure Abstract painting was a joy and tiring work as a lot of thought and questions were answered. In fact, found it a lot harder to pull out than other works of art. A very colourful and decorative painting which, the expressionist emphasis on individual and subjective perspective has been characterized as a reaction to positivism and other artistic styles such as Naturalism and Impressionism. I feel it looks more like a Kandinsky painting, which was a pleasant surprise.
The term refers to an "artistic style in which the artist seeks to depict not objective reality, but rather the subjective emotions and responses that objects and events arouse within a person".
In Cubist works of art, the subjects are analysed, broken up, and reassembled in an abstract form instead of depicting objects from a single perspective, the artist depicts the subject from multiple perspectives to represent the subject in a greater context.
The movement was pioneered by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. There is now right way up, it's up to the viewer.
